The EiEi Home Commercial Shoot - Action!

Published: 01/26/2012 in Events

The EiEi Home Team was at a commercial recording… of their very own! This was a first for many of us, but a few were old hands at sitting back and directing the production of a commercial.

Directing the shoot
You can see Joanne sitting in the background. She looks like she's having fun!

We filmed everything in front of a very large green screen (wall and floor). Kudos to our fantastic actors for being able to work so hard with their imaginary tools and building materials!

Green screen acting
Here you can see a construction worker busy using a drill on a wall... we think!

Joanne (you may recall her from the Joanne’s Backyard series) brought her cousin Danielle, who had just arrived from England the night before, in to share the excitement. We roped Danielle in to being one of the actors. She was a real sport, pulling on the painter’s overalls and ‘painting’ that green screen!

Danielle's really getting into her role as a painter.

Joanne had fun watching all the men getting their make-up put on, she made sure to take several pictures.

Doesn't he look glamorous?

The Gladstone Media Team filmed and produced the commercial, while the EiEi Home team gave a few directions and tips.

Our very own Len got up in front of the camera to be in the spotlight for his 5 seconds of fame. You can see him in the picture of our viewing monitor. Len tells us how he found it to be “very cool to see how something from a storyboard could be made into reality.”

Len, our Advertising Manager, is getting a kick out of being a handyman.

David, our Junior Account Executive, told us that the atmosphere at the recording was not what he had expected. “I was brought in the industry with a skewed misconception that everything on a shoot or recording was to be handled strictly and quietly. However, the atmosphere was very light and playful, the actors and stage hands took directions from the producer and director with a smile.”

Adam, our Account Executive, told us, “The EiEi Home commercial shoot was a tremendous success. There was fantastic energy on set and the talent was on fire. With a great team and a truly remarkable new concept to bring to market, the commercial quickly evolved into a masterpiece.”

We are all eager to see the final product, and cannot wait to share it with you all!
